IRSHAD remains fully committed to the realization of Emiratization policy sustained by the UAE Government and embraced by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and its Group. Supporting young and talented Emirati nationals to realize their full potential and to pursue career opportunities is one of our prime goals. To this effect, IRSHAD has sponsored the following schemes:
Under the auspices of ADNOC Scholarship and ensuing comprehensive analytical study of the major marine programs offered worldwide, we have elected the International Maritime College Oman (IMCO) in Sohar. Following this nomination and through intensive advertising campaign and rigorous selection process, 31 candidates met the enrollment criteria scheme. IRSHAD has appointed a Training Specialist to ensure that students receive all necessary mentorship and support throughout their scholarship tenure.
Currently, this Program is making progress successfully with 17 of the (cadets) undergoing Sea-time training on-board ships of major marine companies namely: “ADNATCO-NGESCO”, “United Arab Shipping Company”, “Kuwait Oil Company”, and “Oman Shipping Company”.
Furthermore, Abu Dhabi national Oil Company (ADNOC) signed agreement with the Higher College of Technology (HCT) to enrol the Deck Officers and Marine Engineers by which Tawteen sponsor the program tuition fees.
IRSHAD management has recognized the need for the adequate and yet effective assurance process and Corporate Governance Framework to be established within Abu Dhabi national Oil Company (ADNOC) and its Group. Hence, “The-Ready-to–Go-Auditors-Program” was initiated by IRSHAD management, adopted/approved by ADNOC Senior management, and activated by ADNOC Scholarship Department.
As the name suggest “The Ready to Go Auditors Program” is designed to prepare highly talented UAE Nationals to operate in the field of internal audit without the need for further development.
To achieve such ambitious objectives, the selected candidates are expected to complete the following:
So far, 8 scholars were sent in the program and the number may double for the next fall. This proposal will increase the small percentage of UAE national internal auditors currently in Abu Dhabi national Oil Company (ADNOC) as well as enhance the assurance process and the corporate governance framework within ADNOC and its Group of companies.
This program is designed to improve and qualify the broad academic education of the current employees and equip them with the knowledge and the ability to apply those concepts in their job functions. Hence, 22 Nationals have been enrolled with The Higher College of Technology (HCT) to enable them to obtain a better job opportunity within IRSHAD.
